♧ The Danger of Single story
♧ We should All be Feminist
♧ Importance of truth in post truth era

☆ The Danger of Single story  :-

In this Video The Danger of Single story Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie describes her different kind of experiences that she had in her childhood. In the starting of the video she gives introduction about her family. Her father was a professor and her mother was an administrator. She read " British and American student book of White and blue eyed. She says that I love American and British books. It's saved me. She belongs to middle class family. After then she shares experience about her neighbour. She had a dinner in new boy's home. His family was poor. Her mother said her finish her food at that time she felt enormous pity. Poverty is the main subject of her stories. Then she shares her experience about her professor. Her American teacher was very shocked when she spoke well English. She thought that Africa was a place where beautiful plants, animals and different people who were unable to speaks themselves by kind of White Americans. African stories are always about darkness. One day she visited American students and they asked about their blackness, she gave very simple answer that she read about American people's psycho. And also she shares her experiences about US and Mexican people's food, their life and habits. She inspired by Chinua Achebe. So, in this video she shares about her different kind of experiences with White American people. She ends this video with one quote,

" One we reject single story, one we realise there is never a single story about any place, we will gain a kind of Paradise. "

My point of view about this video is I like the view of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie because the main reason is she never thought about difference between American white people and African black people. In her childhood she liked British and American books. She never regreted on her poverty. Many times in her life she felt shame on herself by other white people but she never give up. She has keep on writing and published her books.

☆ We should all be Feminist  :-

The second video of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is about we should all be Feminist . Yes, I like this video and the view of Chimamanda because in this video very beautifully she describes her own experiences about feminist and gender bias whatever she experienced with her friends and in her childhood. Because we all know that our so called " Culture " is a patriotic. Not only in today but since many years especially in Africa. So, in this video Chimamanda tells her experiences that in her primary school her teacher took one test in their classroom and the deal was highest mark student will be monitor in class. Chimamanda got highest mark and one boy who got second highest mark but teacher made him monitor in the classroom because he was boy. Chimamanda says that she was very shocked when first time she listened the word " Feminist " and she tried out find the word in Dictionary. And she says that I am a happy feminist. Why society looks on female with so called Ideal women. Most of the people said that her novels are Feminist novels. Then she discuss about the system of marriage. In marriage also the persepctive of looking on women is totally different because after marriage people says that she is change. Why women are only for cooking and as a home worker rather than doing work in business or in fields in society with men. Chimamanda says that The language of marriage is often a language of ownership rather than partnership. And also she says that the problem of gender is very prescribed that how we should be rather than recognise how we are. Culture is not make people but people makes culture. These are the views of Chimamanda about Feminist.

☆ Importance of Truth in Post Truth era :-

" Be courageous, Tell the truth "

These are the words of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie in the third video.  It is about the importance of truth in Post truth era. I like her spirit telling a truth in every moment and situation.  In this video she says that my personal spirit never broken. And also she shares very funny incident about the wrong pronounsation of her name by one lady. She says that Read literature, read widely, read poetry, fiction and non fiction. Make the human story centre in your understanding of the world. Think of people as a people. Listen to the other side in yourself or see visible side. The Sun rise in the East that is truth there is not any other side. Whenever you Wake up that is your morning. The world is calling you. So, in this video she discuss about telling a truth in every field rather than keep quiet.

☆ Has these views help you in understanding literature and life ?

Yes, ofcourse. I definitely says that all views of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie helps me in better understanding of my life because in the third video she says that Be courageous and Tell the truth. Which help me increase my confidence. She is black African woman so she faced many problems in her childhood by society and in schools and in colleges also. Yet she stand very confidently and became a successful person in her life. I inspired by her. And her views help me in better understanding of literature because literature is all about Culture, society, politics etc. And Chimamanda very simply described situation that how we need to develop confidence. Especially her views about Feminist that I like most.

Thank you...
