                     " Sairandhri by Vinod Joshi 

                     Literature represent the life of the person and Pain, disappointment, happiness, melancholy, rejection of the person. Poet and writer use the word that can make the reader visualize that what they are reading. Here I would like to present my view or observation on the poem, " Sairandhri " by Vinod Joshi based on the video. For listening video of the interview of Vinod Joshi click here. Let us start with the brief introduction of Vinod Joshi.

• Brief introduction about Vinod Joshi :-

                  Born :  13rd August 1955
                  Born Place : Bhoringada, Amreli,Gujarat

                 Vinod Joshi is a Poet, Critic and Writer from Gujrat, India. He is well known for his poems. He wrote many poems and got many Awards. He is influenced by the folkloric Gujrati language of his mother, Lilavati Joshi. He complred his primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary education at Gadhada, Botad and Surendranagar. He received Bachelor degree at Botad and Master degree at Saurashtra university. He earned Ph. D in 1980 from Saurashtra university for his research thesis," Radio Nataknu Kalaswaroop Ane Gujratima teno Vikas. "  He started writing poetry during his 10th standard. In 1973 his first poem, "Kumar " published in Gujrati language magazine. His poems are:

         Let start the the view on the poem, " Sairandhri " by Vinod Joshi based on the interview video. Here I would like to put my view in Gujrati language because the whole video is in Gujrati language. The main theme of the poem is lost of Identity. Vinod joshi put his idea and thoughts about Draupadi of Mahabharata in different ways. Here I would like to put one few lines of the poem of Vinod Joshi,

          "ટચલી આંગળીનો નખ
           લટમાં પરોવી હું તો બેઠી સજન,
           મુને એકવાર કાગળ તો લખ.
          ચુમી ચુમીને કરી એઠી સજન,
          હવે લૂછી દે પાંપણના દખ."

SBS Gujrati માં વિનોદ જોશી એક ઈન્ટરવ્યૂમાં જોડાય છે અને જેલમ હાદિઁકના એમનું પ્રબંધ કાવ્ય, " સૈરન્ધ્રી " વિશેના પ્રશ્નોના જવાબો આપે છે. જેલમ હાદિિઁક આ ઈન્ટરવ્યૂની શરુઆત ખુુબ જ સરસ કાવ્ય પંક્તિથી કરે છે. ,

                     " આપી આપીને તમે પીંછું આપો, 

                       સજન પાંખો આપો તો અમે આવીએ. "

                       વિનોદ જોશી કહે છે કે " સૈરન્ધ્રી " એ  lost Identity ના પાયા ઉપર રચાયેલુું કાવ્ય છે. આમાં વિનોદ જોશીએ દ્રૌપદિને એક અલગ રુપમાં દર્શાવી છેે. આમ તો દ્રૌપદિ એક અગ્નીકન્યા, કૃષ્ણા, ઓજસવંતી, વગેરે રુપે જોવા મળે છે પણ આમાંં વિનોદ જોશીએ દ્રોપદિને અજ્ઞાતવાસ દરમિયાન વિરાટરાજાની રાણી સુુુુદેષનાની દાસી સૈૈરન્ધ્રી તરીકે વર્ણવી છે. જેલમ હાદિઁક વિનોદ જોશીને પૂછે છે  કે મહાભારતના વિરાટપવઁની સૈરન્ધ્રી કદાચ એકાદ દાયકાથી તમારી પાછળ પડી છેે તો ,

            શા માટે એ તમને સૈરન્ધ્રી સ્વરૂપે જ સ્પર્શી ?

                    આ પ્રશ્નના જવાબમાં વિનોદ જોશી જણાવે છે કે આમ તો સૈરન્ધ્રી એક મહાન સ્ત્રી હસ્તિનાપુરની રાણી , પાંચ પાંંડવોની પત્ની હતી પરંતુ અજ્ઞાતવાસમાંં એ પોતાની ઓળખ છુપાવીને રહે છે. એવું આપણાં જીવનમાં પણ બને છે. આપણે પણ સમાજની વચ્ચે ઓળખ છુપાવીને જીવીએ છીએ. જેલમ હાદિઁકનો બીજો પ્રશ્ન, 

  

          સૈરન્ધ્રી કાવ્ય લોકો સમક્ષ કયાં સ્વરુપમાં આવશે ?

                      આ પ્રશ્નના જવાબમાં વિનોદ જોશી જણાવે છે કે કોઈપણ વ્યકતિમાં ભાષાના અનેક સ્તર કામ કરતા હોય છે. આમ તો હું તળની બોલીનો ઉપયોગ કરું છું પણ આ કાવ્યમાં મે લોકભોગ્ય અને સંસ્કૃત શબ્દોનો ઉપયોગ કર્યો છે. ઈન્ટરવ્યૂૂને અંતે વિનોદ જોશી પોતાનુંં સૈરન્ધ્રી કાવ્યની થોડી પંક્તિઓ બોલે છેે. આ પંક્તિઓ દ્રોપદિ જયારે કર્ણને જુુુએ છે ત્યારની છે. કર્ણએ એમની પ્રથમ પસંદગી છે અને અર્જુન એ એમની બીજી પસંદગી છે, કાવ્ય કંઈક આ પ્રકારનું છેે, 

        વક્ષ વિશાળ, ભુજા બળશાળી, નેત્રે વિધુત ચમક નિરાળી 

        તત્ક્ષણમોહિત થઈ પાંચાલી ,વરણ કરી નિજ મનમાં માલી

        સવઁર્દ્રોપાલ સ્વયંવર માણે, હતો કર્ણ નિરહેતુક જાણે

        સ્થાન હતું એને મન ઉતમ, કરવા કોઈ અનન્ય પરાક્રમ ......

                     આમ સૈરન્ધ્રી કાવ્ય ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયામાં સર્જાયેલું પ્રબંધ કાવ્ય છે. આ કાવ્ય વિશે વિનોદ જોશી કહે છે કે, મારી સૈરન્ધ્રી કર્ણને ચાહે છે.
